I was against it at first, but now I highly recommend it
In the photo you can see the actual intestinal pessary at the bottom and above it a red and white striped pipe cleaner bent at an angle.
The intestinal tube is lubricated or moistened with a lubricating cream or oil and then inserted, holding it by the bulb shown in the photo on the right, which looks almost heart-shaped here. The left part is inserted into the anus all the way up to the knob. It stays outside and you only feel it in everyday life when you scratch your bum.

On the one hand, I like the idea, you have a kind of vapour release tube and the excess pressure simply escapes on the side. So much for the theory. In practice, I had these problems:
If you sometimes have a thinner bowel movement, you can clean the bowel pessary several times a day because faeces keep getting into the thin intestinal gas passage channel inside the bowel pessary. To clean it, take the pipe cleaner and push it (here in the photo) from the left into the intestinal pessary and then the tiny amount of faeces on the left through a very fine hole into the lump. It is then flushed away there.
It would be much more practical if the course of the vapour drainage channel continued through the lump so that you could also poke in from the lump side with the pipe cleaner or another material if necessary.
This may be necessary if there are a few blackberry seeds in this minimal amount of faeces in the intestinal pessary vapour drainage channel and they push into each other in the really very narrow vapour drainage channel through the pipe cleaner insert. Then you have to get at it from the other side, and the way the part is designed now is a bit tedious, with tweezers you can push and push and push and push the kinked pipe cleaner again, well, necessity is the mother of invention, but it would really be more practical if the knob was also drilled through and you could then easily do it all.
I think that the delivery could also include a few more pipe cleaners, there is only one included, which is far too few. Of course, it would make sense to include a kind of service box for transporting the cleaning material, just as you get a travel toothbrush in a package.
Otherwise, it's nice to be able to get the gases out, even if it's very unfamiliar at first.

I used the bowel pessary for a few days at the beginning and at some point it got blocked too often and yes, I was annoyed when it got blocked with a few pips and I had to struggle to get them out again. I don't know if you could drill out the knob itself, I didn't want to take the risk that the material might crack, but I think I'll give it a try sooner or later.
Conclusion: The idea is interesting, the realisation should be improved. Would I buy it again? No.

That was my opinion here before, but it has since changed and I recommend using this tool. The problems were mainly in the early days. In the meantime, my bowels have improved and I have also learnt how to use the ANO. If I feel that my bowel movements are thin or mushy, I leave the ANO out. Otherwise, I now use it all day, take it out before a bowel movement, clean it afterwards and then put it back in or only put it back in after breakfast.
If you have read Mr Junker's book, you know why it is important to get rid of this intestinal gas more easily and then you are more willing to try out and learn how to use the ANO correctly. Another thing that works well for me: I take a mixture of bentonite, apple pectin and psyllium husks whisked with water at seven in the morning, two at noon and eight in the evening. Each of these products binds toxins in the intestines and helps to eliminate harmful substances very effectively, and you can see the health benefits on your own facial skin after just two or three days - you look younger. In my experience, the rapid change seems to come from the apple pectin, which is also used in the Chernobyl area because it helps to reduce radiation exposure from contaminated food. Bentonite or zeolite is also used for this purpose. I once read that if you use psyllium husks on a regular basis, you should make sure you get enough vitamin B12.

As you can see, I have changed my mind, well, the point about the easier cleaning of the ANO, i.e. that it would be even better if it were perforated, I still think so today, but in all the months of use since then it has not happened to me that a berry grain has become wedged in the ANO and I hope it stays that way.

At the moment I'm practising consciously chewing regularly, this "chew every bite 30 to 50 times". It's not that easy to get used to it again if you've neglected it for decades. If you have read Mr Junker's book, you know that this careful chewing is the basis of intestinal health because it allows your intestinal bacteria to utilise the food pulp well and also because this chewing also influences the feeling of satiety, which sets in after about 2000 chewing movements, according to the book. read more ...

If you have a tense anus, possibly after haemorrhoid surgery, and a sluggish bowel, the Ano is the only help you can get. The gas in the bowel exacerbates the problems and poisons the body.
If you have a well-functioning bowel, you obviously don't need the Ano.
I could no longer ride my motorbike because the pressure from the inside became so great from sitting for so long that the haemmoroids swelled up and hurt.

Recurring problems with Anos
Hello,

I've been through a few Anos over the years, but one problem has been recurring for a few years now: after a while the things get structural cracks. A few at first, but more and more, so that at some point you have to throw them away.
