Practitioner of Homeopathic Medicine
Educator and Trainer of Homeopathic, Natural and Integrative Medicine
Alastair Gray lives in the inner west of Sydney Australia and runs a colourful practice there. He also has a practice in Auckland, New Zealand. He gets around. In 2004 for example, after 54 flights and 130,000 kilometres, he delivered 400 lectures over 4 continents. That seems to be a normal year. Known for his enthusiastic teaching style he uses all manner of multimedia presentations to enliven the delivery of his homeopathic lectures.
In New Zealand he lectures for the Bay of Plenty College of Homeopathy and provides clinical training and assessment. In Australia, he teaches at the Sydney College of Homeopathic Medicine and at Nature Care College in Sydney. He also travels throughout Australia to deliver clinical training to the many distance learning students. Further teaching around the Pacific basin is at the Wellington College of Homeopathy. He is also a regular seminar presenter in Kuala Lumpur for the Homeopathic Academy Council of Malaysia, and he holds their PCHom. Alastair has also regularly presented and lectured in Toronto Canada, Boulder Colorado and San Francisco; in Galway Ireland, Preston and Nottingham England and Bangkok Thailand.
Trained in the UK at the School of Homeopathy (Misha Norland) he completed his postgraduate diploma at Jeremy Sherr's School in London. It is this grounding in Homeopathy in addition to his diverse background that permeates his whole work. He has a first class honours degree in history from the University of Otago, New Zealand and a fascination with medical and homeopathic history. He worked for a decade as a bodywork therapist and has a background in Gestalt Therapy and archery. This all contributes to his practice and presentations. His particular emphasis is in reconciling the differences and identifying and celebrating the similarities between methodologies in Homeopathic Medicine. He is a member the of Medical Board of the Asher Institute for Integrative Medicine in Sydney, Australia.
In addition, Alastair has a commitment to quality research in Homeopathy and has conducted a number of provings in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. As well as publishing the homeopathic proving of Kauri, he has completed manuals on the provings of White Tailed Spider, Box Jelly Fish, Moreton Bay Fig, Tea Tree, Blatta Orientalis (Cockroach), Liquorice, Bufo, Seahorse, Kowhai, Cactus and Mosquito (Culex). Moreover, he runs and teaches residential Fusion Sessions, and a Post Graduate programme in Homeopathy, offered in New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
