Amblyseius: Ants in the greenhouse, leaf frass on angel's trumpet
I have been trying to drive the ants out of my greenhouse for two years. Without success. So I tried "predatory mite" for the first time. 5ml, 10 litre watering can and watered in the evening. The next morning I could see the ants moving out. They cleared the nest and carried all the eggs out. Unbelievable! They now live in front of the greenhouse (grin).

My angel's trumpet has been infested by leaf-eating creatures every night for the last two years. Even in the late evening or very early morning hours I couldn't catch the culprits. The feeding usually started on the outside of the leaves until the leaves were so full of holes that they had to be removed because there was almost nothing left. At first I thought it was slugs, but as I said, I never saw any. Now I suspect the weevil, which also lays its larvae in the soil. Inspired by my great results with Amblyseius in the greenhouse, I therefore treated the trumpet with the same mixture (5 ml per 10 litres).
mixture (5 ml to 10 litres). Once a week for three weeks so far. So far the leaves are healthy.

helps against the gall mite on vines
I use the product against the gall mite on my vines. It helps very well, the blister-like growths on the leaves have virtually disappeared. However, you have to spray the vines every year. I am now treating the vines for the 2nd year. However, I only started again in the summer after the infestation became visible.
Next year I will start treatment in spring, just after budding. Let's see if the gall mites are gone by then.

Spider mites on greenhouse cucumber
In the last 2 years I have had a lot to do with the spider mite. Last year I came across Amblyseius D6. My husband and I were very sceptical about homeopathy for plants. My cucumber was covered in spider mites, with only yellow, partly dead leaves. In mid-August, I watered my cucumbers 3 times within a week with 10 ml per 10 litres. Then we went on holiday for 2 weeks. I had already given up on my plants but to my amazement the cucumbers grew back healthy at the top during this time (2 weeks) and I was still able to harvest until October. read more ...
