Valerian belongs to the valerian family and is a perennial, herbaceous plant. It contains natural constituents including alkaloids and essential oils. The oils are divided into monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes. The calming and sleep-promoting effects are particularly attributed to the sesquiterpenes.
The valerian complex capsules with hops and lemon balm may promote readiness for sleep. They may have beneficial effects on feelings of restlessness as well as on mental tension. The capsules are vegan and free from magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide.
