Cloudy and algae-covered pond
My husband has a 10,000 litre pond with koi and aquatic plants. For years he has been fighting the turbidity and algae with all kinds of products and devices. We have now discovered Homeoplant and are currently trying it out. It was a huge success because after just one dose of 10 globules the water became clear so that you can see right to the bottom. When it started to become slightly cloudy again after about 4 weeks, the 2nd dose of 10 globules was given. Algae gone
The incipient flood of filamentous algae in my pond could be stopped and dissolved with a few globules poured into the pond and some dissolved globules poured into the pond in a jug with Chara intermedia. Didn't want to believe it. Very good. read more ...

Great, it works
I dissolved 10 ml in a 10 litre watering can and poured it into the water cistern (3000 litres of rainwater). After about 3 days, the water in the 3 toilets that use rainwater was completely clear.

Arm candle algae for biotope clarification
I came across Chara intermedia through your newsletter. I ordered the pellets (I received C 30, although I ordered C 200) for our small biotope with algae, as they are supposed to have a purifying effect on the water.
I have now dissolved 14 pellets in a glass with a little water once a week for 2 weeks, poured this solution into a watering can with approx. 10 litres of water and distributed it over the entire water level of the biotope. Then stirred with a stick.
After the first application, the water became clear and the filamentous algae began to die off. It was then easy to fish them out. We now have wonderfully clear water without algae. Tomorrow is the 3rd application, which I will certainly continue at longer intervals as a preventative measure so that we don't get the problem with the algae again.

As described by the author of the book, the remedy works in the vast majority of cases and users feel relieved of their problems for many days!

Experience report on algae in fish ponds with Chara intermedia C200
Small pond 5 m2, 20 to 80 cm deep.
Air temperature 25 to 35 °C, water temperature up to 24 °C, frequent strong sunlight.
Initial condition: heavy stocking with green algae (no filamentous algae), so that fish were only visible up to a few centimetres below the water surface. Application of 2 x 5 litres of water with 6 globules each, distributed over the entire water surface. After 2 days, fish were visible up to 20 cm below the surface. After 1 week up to 50 cm visible. Chara seems to change the surface tension of the water: more bubbles are present when the water is recirculated. After 1 month, slight increase in turbidity and repeat administration of Chara, which improves this again.
The fish feel well. In the late autumn and winter months, fish are visible right down to the bottom of the pond. read more ...
