Eugene Beauharnais Nash

Eugène Nash
1838-1917

was born on March 8, 1838 in Hillsdale, Columbia County.
He studied medicine in New York before turning to homeopathy and completing his studies at the Cleveland Homeopathic in 1874. He held the chair of materia medica for 7 years at the New York Homeopathic Medical College. In 1903, he became President of the International Hahnemannian Association. He gave a series of lectures at the homeopathic hospital in London in 1905.

Nash had a good tenor voice and was the leader of a Methodist choir. His lifestyle was very simple and puritan.

He is the author of the classic “Leaders in Homeopathic Therapeutics.” The remedy pictures are so easy to remember and to the point that this work rapidly became a worldwide hit – it attracted many allopathic doctors to homeopathy.
