Vitamins and happiness
Striving for happiness is our most cherished goal in life. Loads of energy, drive, optimism and a fit body and mind are closely associated with our feelings of happiness.
Happy vitamins – what sounds so simple and appealing does indeed have a scientific basis and it is no coincidence that the word “vitamin” is derived from the Latin word “vita” meaning life. Certain vitamins are essential and contribute, for example, to normal psychological functioning and normal intellectual capacity or to reduce fatigue – important nutritional and physiological requirements on the path to happiness.
In the Happy vitamins* capsules from Unimedica the B-group vitamins are especially high dose in a high quality nutritional complex with carefully chosen amino acids and plant substances together with vitamin D.
Happiness is a question of the right biochemistry
Along with a positive attitude to life and goal-directed behaviour, our bodily biochemistry plays a key role in our feelings of happiness. Our stress levels, sleep quality and energy reserves are also major influences. And a balanced and varied diet is also key here. These factors all regulate our body functions and provide our organism with everything it needs.
The Happy Vitamin* capsules from Unimedica contain vitamins from the B complex, which support the normal function of the nervous system and psyche (vitamins B1, B3, B6, B7, B9 and B12) as well as energy metabolism (vitamins B1, B3, B5, B6, B7 and B12). In addition the B vitamins reduce fatigue and tiredness (vitamins B3, B5, B6, B9 and B12).
Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) plays a role in the body’s production of neurotransmitters. These are messengers for intercellular communication. The amino acid L-tyrosine is a precursor of dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and reward. The amino acid L-tryptophan is a precursor of serotonin, which is often termed the “feel-good hormone”, contributing to the regulation of mood. Both amino acids are in contained in their optimal natural L-form in this nutritional complex.
The vitamin complex is supplemented with plant extracts from passionflower with their valuable flavones, St John’s wort and lemon balm.
Happy vitamins in daily nutrition
Many of the ingredients in “Happy Vitamins” can also be absorbed from a balanced diet. Passionflower, lemon balm and St John’s wort can be taken as tea whereas nuts, seeds and wholegrain products are rich in B vitamins. vitamin D is found in algae, fatty fish and innards whereas many types of fruit and vegetable contain flavones. Amino acids are found above all in meat.
Yet it can still make sense to take supplements to ensure that the body has a sufficient supply of vitamins and amino acids.
