Not recommended from a nutritional-physiological point of view
It may be that you can lose weight with this method - but certainly not in a healthy and lasting way. The author is of the opinion that every drop of oil must be strictly avoided. In general, fat in any form is pilloried. This is a very bold recommendation that I simply cannot share.
I don't even want to talk about recommending diabetics to eat mainly carbohydrates.....
For me, this book is money down the drain and I can't recommend it to anyone who wants to lose their extra pounds in a healthy and sustainable way.

McDougall is a renowned nutrition researcher with a lot of practical experience, so to reject something like this just on the basis of theoretical considerations does not do it justice. read more ...

It is currently the healthiest diet there is, 12000 doctors and nutritionists recommend this diet because it can cure many common diseases!!! Dr Ornish saved Bill Clinten's life with this diet, look up Bill Clintin and Vegan on social media. Prof Dr Barnard also recommends this diet. So does Dr Esselstyn. If you are completely healthy and don't want to lose weight, you can eat fats in whole form, such as nuts, seeds, avocado, nut cream/must. Films like Fork not Scalpel and What is the health and Hope for all give more great information. I myself have cured my diabetes with this method (see Dr Barnard's book). Have a look for Dr Greger on YT, there you will find the explanation why ISOLATED FATS are unhealthy. By the way, even vegetables contain fats! This form of nutrition has been around for 40 years and studies have been carried out and published in the Lancet. Unfortunately, this has not yet reached Europe, where nutrition can cure, stop or at least greatly improve common diseases! read more ...

There are wonderful vegan and fat-free recipes that all taste much better than mostly over-seasoned meat, the same potatoes and overcooked vegetables as a side dish or greasy pizza with analogue cheese. But you have to work at it and it's a long process to get to the point where you can create tasty meals that are also healthy. It takes no more time than the 20 minutes it takes to put a disgusting frozen pizza in the oven and then just fiddle around with your mobile phone and you know what's in it.
