Product information Spectrum of Homeopathy 2016-1, Spice of life

Herbs and spices, such as rosemary, oregano, sage, and especially pepper can make even the most boring food attractive, exciting, and lively. Enthusiasm and a lust for life, the desire for enjoyment and stimulation, as well as the fear of boredom are therefore typical characteristics in the remedy picture of the plants presented in this issue of SPECTRUM "Spice of life". Our authors show the overlaps and differences in the homeopathically similar but botanically very different families of the Lamiaceae and Piperaceae. The contributions in this SPECTRUM present the application of Jan Scholten's Plant theory, Rajan Sankaran's vital sensation and miasms, and Michal Yakir's ideas on the developmental stages of the plants.

Intrigued by the fascinating theme, Jan Scholten and Michal Yakir agreed to make a personal contribution. This issue of SPECTRUM has therefore the pleasure to chronicle the latest and exciting developments in homeopathic classifications.

In his overview, Jan Scholten explains the significance of the remedy codes and how to use them to navigate his Plant system. With co-author Martin Jakob, he exclusively presents a fine-tuning of his Plant theory. His classification of the Lamiaceae into the subfamilies, Lamioideae and Nepetoideae reveals the fundamental significance of his application of phases and subphases.

Michal Yakir describes her views on the evolution of plants and the their relationship to the development of female and male aspects of human indiv...

Product information Spectrum of Homeopathy 2016-2, Palliative homeopathy

The care of the dying and the incurably sick poses a special challenge for homeopaths since it requires setting aside Hahnemann’s principle of a rapid, gentle, and enduring cure in favour of other treatment goals. It is all about minimising suffering and improving the quality of life, while remaining open to the possibility of astonishing inner healing processes, which can greatly ease the transitional phase at the end of life.

As with obstetrics at the beginning of life, a modest number of remedies is  adequate for palliative homeopathic treatment for the terminally ill. Classic examples of remedies used for the dying are Arsenicum  album, Carbo vegetabilis or Opium. The areas of application for these and other homeopathic remedies for the typical psychological and physical problems of the terminal phase are exemplified in case histories of restlessness, anxiety, breathlessness, weakness, and anorexia. There is discussion on the methodological aspects in the evaluation of symptoms, potency selection, repetition, and the alternation of remedies, as well as the question of the use of constitutional remedies when the life force is almost extinguished.

Product information Spectrum of Homeopathy 2016-3, Iron series

In Jan Scholten's periodic table, which reflects the various developmental stages of human life, the Iron series represents the start of adult life with its associated tasks and duties. Topics, such as discipline, routine, rules, control, perfection, and the feeling of guilt associated with failure are characteristics of this phase, in which the superego and society both take their toll. The resulting conflicts highlight each element of the Iron series in its own way.

SPECTRUM presents the developmental stages of the fourth series of the periodic table with a number of case histories and a variety of illnesses. Together with familiar remedies, such as Kalium, Ferrum, Zincum, or Arsenicum, accompanied by their salts, we will look at less familiar remedies, such as Scandium, Titanium, Vanadium, Gallium, and Germanium. The themes of the Iron series and their manifestation in the various stages help us to achieve a better understanding of both familiar and new remedies. The aim of this chapter of our modern materia medica is therefore to comprehensively demonstrate the practical application of the elements of the periodic table, exemplified by the Iron series.

Dann die Iquilai Studie: wo findet man so was heute? Erstklassig.

Long Covid: Hervorragend

very interesting
I have retired from clinical practice at the age of 80. Spectrum fills the gap and enables me to keep up with the developing ideas of homeopathy by reading the intelligent discussions of themed materia medica. read more ...
