Jan Scholten:

This book shows very clearly the importance of the case taking. It shows what has to be known for the prescription. The step by step introduction of each element of the Plant theory makes it easy to follow and to understand.
I recommend this book highly to every homeopath.

A wonderfully easy introduction to plant theory
For me, this book was perfect as an introduction to plant theory, as I had been put off by Jan Scholten's "Original- Wunderbare Pflanzen" due to its huge size and very small font. However, I had also realised for myself that I hadn't been able to get to the bottom of the plants sufficiently with other methods. So I finally ended up with this book and it was spot on. As with all mathematical formulae, this theory is first and foremost just about understanding a formula and it doesn't take 1000 pages to do so. Martin Jakob manages to make this "formula" and these connections clear with just a few clear words, vivid pictures and a good structure. Once I have understood this formula, I have to practise and continue reading and, thanks to this book, I am now doing this in the form of seminars and other literature on plant theory. And the more I read and understand about it, the more logical and well thought-out it becomes and the full future potential of this method begins to unfold. Thanks to Jan Scholten's methods, homeopathy is finally being given the scientific status it deserves and this is where I see its future viability. My conclusion: be brave and embrace this new way of thinking, it's definitely worth it. read more ...

Helpful and motivating
Particularly successful: Embedding in comparative/differentiating considerations of the plant kingdom with the animal kingdom and the periodic table.
Clear derivation of the phases, subphases and stages and repeated analogies with the periodic table.
My subjective problem: dealing with constant extensions,
with the Scholten website (English) for new plants...
Martin Jakob can't help that, of course...but it would still be nice,
to be able to find the new plant pictures in German at some point...

remarkable novelty.
Scholten's concept is not easy to digest,
it is helpful to have the information presented again in different words. It's great that Narayana Verlag has published Jakob Martin's book.
