Everyone should have read this at least once
Not just theory but years of self-experience plus those of people who have been able to transform all kinds of illnesses into health are probably the best proof. I was really fascinated by this book. I've been studying nutrition for years and I'm glad to have such good evidence for my theory. I am very thin and was afraid when I first became a vegetarian that I would become even thinner, but that was not the case. That was over 20 years ago now and I have rarely eaten 1000 calories and weigh the same now as I did then.
Thanks to this fantastic researcher and this book for reassuring me that I wasn't wrong. 👍😉

Everyone should have read this book...
whether healthy or ill. Because, as Dr Schatalova explains very clearly here, an excessive, unnatural diet and lack of exercise will certainly make us ill later in life, and the famous diseases of civilisation will not be long in coming. Shatalova (who was a well-known scientist in the former Soviet Union) explains here how she used her method to make sick people healthy again. She was responsible for the nutrition of cosmonauts in the Soviet Union and also looked after Russian Olympic athletes during their careers. Even at the age of 74, Schatalova herself took part in a march through the Karakum desert with relatively little water and calorie restriction.
She advocates a lifelong calorie-restricted diet: no more than 800 calories and, if you are chronically ill, you should go down even further to 400 calories for a longer period of time so that all your organs can regenerate. Her method is based on several points: low-calorie, natural food with almost no sugar. Regular exercise. Breathing (a kind of yoga breathing). Hardening with cold water and getting up early in the morning. You have to be very disciplined to keep to all of this, but then success is not long in coming. Schatalova herself lived to the age of 95 and was physically and mentally healthy until her death, which is exactly what everyone wants.
I have read this book several times over the last few years and it is always uplifting and interesting. I have also given it as a gift to friends and family several times and everyone has loved it. I myself have been living on a calorie-restricted diet of 1,200 kcal for several years (some days even a little less). It's only exhausting on the first few days, the body quickly gets used to the new lifestyle. I have lost weight and also got my Hashimoto's under control. I can only advise everyone to read this book, because it is also interestingly written...
