We, Narayana Verlag, use the data disclosed by you to fulfil and process your order. We take the protection of your data seriously and handle all the personal customer data used for our online shop confidentially. This is based on German legal provisions such as the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG, “Federal Data Protection Act”) and Telemediengesetz (TMG, “German Teleservices Act”). In the following we inform you of the type, scope and purpose of data collection and data usage.
Data Collection and Data Usage
General
The personal data (name, postal address, email address, …) that you disclose to us – for example, when placing an order – is only used to communicate with you and only for the purpose for which you have provided that data. We forward your data only to the mail-order firm commissioned by us, insofar as necessary to deliver the goods. To process the payment, we forward your payment data to the bank commissioned to make the payment. We do not forward your data to third parties except when we are required to by law or you have given us your permission.
In the following we explain for you in greater detail which data we collect and use during your visit to our website.
Data Collection and Data Usage during a Visit to our Website
When visiting our website, information is stored in cookies and Google Analytics (see also cookies, Google Analytics).
To improve the attractiveness of a visit to our website and to make it possible to use certain information, we use cookies on various webpages. Cookies are small text files that store data on the computer about webpages visited while surfing. They help the user by obviating the need to log on again when visiting an encrypted page again – cookies register on the computer that a webpage called up has already been visited in the past; they store information about private internet habits and transfer these unprompted to a recipient. Cookies are not hidden files and can be viewed and deleted by the user at any time.
On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (Google), which uses the text files (cookies) stored on your computer, enabling analysis of your use of the website. The information from the cookies is generally transferred to a server of Google USA and stored there, so that statistics on the behaviour of the user can be called up. The IP address transmitted by your browser to Google Analytics is not combined with further data held by Google.
The storage of the cookies can be individually prevented by corresponding settings on the computer. However, with such settings it may no longer be possible to make use of the full functionality of the website.
The reports of Google Analytics use this information for demographic characteristics and interests; this is exclusively used in an anonymous form for market research purposes.
Data Collection and Data Usage in the Processing of Orders
As part of the order processing when you order as a customer, we collect personal data from you (first name, surname, address, country and email address, bank account) which are exclusively used to process contracts, provide services and settle accounts.
If you place an order as a guest, we collect and use the same data as for a customer account, except the password registration.
On no account is your date of birth requested.
Data Collection and Data Usage for the Newsletter
If you register for our newsletter, we only use the data provided by you to send you the newsletter. To receive the newsletter, is necessary to provide your first name and surname, as well as your email address. It is possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time at info@narayana-verlag.de.
Deletion of Data & Information
You have the right at any time to revoke your consent to store your data with future effect: if you have provided us with personal data and now wish to withdraw your consent to the storage of your personal data or the data is now invalid, we will follow your instructions to either delete or correct the data (insofar as this complies with current legislation). You can continue to receive information about your stored data free of cost. If you have questions about the collection, processing or usage of your personal data, or if you wish to query, correct or delete your personal data, please contact info@narayana-verlag.de by email.
