Five Flowers Essence – Bach Flower Drops using the original formula
The following five Bach flower essences are combined for the Unimedica Bach Flower Drops, according to the original formula from Edward Bach: rock rose, clematis, impatiens, cherry plum and star of Bethlehem.
The unique feature of the Bach Five Flowers Essence from Unimedica is that, unlike the original formula, no alcohol is used.
A composition of five flower essences
The Five Flowers Essence from Unimedica contains the plant energy of the following flowers for emotional support in emotionally challenging situations:
Rock Rose belongs to the genus Helianthemum. This species has bright yellow flowers that shine in a friendly way like little suns. It also has an aromatic scent. This small rose with crumpled petals does well in the heat.
Clematis belongs to the buttercup family. The fast-growing hardy climber has marvellous large flowers. There are over 300 species of clematis. The Five Flowers Essence uses the original Bach flower Clematis vitalba.
Impatiens has large flowers and comes from India. The usually pink decorative flowers commonly found in the West have secured this thirsty member of the balsam family a place in many gardens. The copious nectar contains 48 % sugar.
Star of Bethlehem belongs to the asparagus family. This plant with white star-shaped flowers is commonly found in Europe. It can be propagated by bulbs or seeds although the bulbs are poisonous.
Cherry Plum originally comes from the Balkans, central Asia and Anatolia, and is very robust and hardy. The tree with its multi-stemmed crown has white flowers. In summer this member of the rose family produces small sweet and sour fruit.
What are Bach flowers?
Edward Bach was an English microbiologist who developed a technique in the 1930s using 37 flower essences and an essence of rock spring water to transfer the energetic properties of the flowers to the water.
To make the essences, freshly harvested flowers placed in spring water are briefly heated by the sun or another heart source. Then the water extract (originally also containing alcohol) is strongly diluted. This became known in alternative healing circles as the Bach flower essences.
Each bottle of Bach Five Flowers Essence drops from Unimedica contains 20 ml.
